The Purpose of the Church
The Church is to Equip and Send out for the Glory of God.
The purpose of this church is to edify and train up families to be authentic followers of Jesus Christ who worship Him as their Lord in corporate worship, grow by the faithful preaching and practice of the Bible toward Christlike maturity, serve other members of the church in humility, and connect the Gospel to the unchurched with urgency, building a passion for missions and church planting, all for God’s greater glory and renown (Eph. 3:20-21).
It’s Not About Us.
Having “our church” is not the ends, but rather the means to ignite a reproducing church planting movement throughout generations! We are passionately committed to being a church planting church. We have a heart not only for unreached people living in the United States, but for unreached people groups who are still untouched by the Gospel, approximately 2.74 billion people worldwide.
On Matters of Church Doctrine, We Believe...
All 66 Books of the Bible (Old and New Testament) are God’s inspired and matchless Word. The Bible is inerrant and infallible in all it affirms, and stands uncontested as the timeless authority on how we know God and glorify Him with our lives. (Isa. 40:8; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
God exists eternally in one essence, but co-equally in three Persons, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God the Father is the first member of the Trinity, the Almighty, Eternal, Creator and Sustainer of the Universe who governs all things according to His sovereign pleasure and will (Gen. 1:1; Psa. 135:5-7; Rev. 4:11)
God the Son is Jesus Christ, the second member of the Trinity, was sent into the world by the Father, supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit, born to the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on a cross to pay for the penalty of our sin, and on the third day rose again, according to the Scriptures (1 Cor. 15:3-4). Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World and the ascended Son of God.
God the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity, who washes us clean from our sins so that we can be spiritually reborn and enter into God’s family, leads us into righteousness and truth, and indwells all believers as a perfect guarantee of our salvation. (Jn. 3:5; 15:26; 16:7-11; Eph. 1:13-14)
Man was created imago Dei, in the image of God, but rebelled against God and are born tainted with a sinful heart and a depraved mind. Our sinful hearts and minds doomed us to spiritual death – separation from our Creator forever. We are unable to save ourselves, and we need a Savior. (Rom. 3:23; Eph. 2:1-10)
Salvation is found through the Gospel of Jesus Christ alone. We hold firmly to the saving grace of Jesus Christ through faith alone as the only way to achieve the righteous standard that God required of his people. (2 Cor. 5:19-21; Eph. 2:8-9; Acts 4:12)
As Jesus was raised to life and is now ascended to Heaven on the right hand of the Father, we will be raised to life on that last day and share in His glory (Rom. 6:1-4).
Our Lord and Savior Jesus will return in a visible and imminent return to establish His reign over the earth (1 Thess. 4:16-17).
There is a final judgment by our Lord and Savior Jesus, who will cast Satan, evil angels, and those opposed to Him to eternal punishment in the lake of fire (Matt. 25:31-46).
On Matters of Church Life, We Believe...
The Church’s greatest mission is to be on Mission for God and preach the Gospel of grace to the world, walking in a manner worthy of which we have been called.
The Church is to strive to be holy as Christ, the Head of the Church is holy, and we must battle sin and temptation not through our flesh, but by the Spirit of God.
The Word of God and the Holy Spirit must direct our individual and corporate growth with Christlike maturity as the final goal.
The ordinances that Jesus Christ commanded us to observe is baptism of all believers and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
The Church is to protect the Purity of God and the purity of her members through church discipline, as outlined in Matthew 18:15-20.
The sacred institution of marriage is God’s gift to us, and is to be enjoyed exclusively between one man and one woman covenanting their lives together in sacrificial love and commitment.
